Founded by Lily and Eli Apteker and nurtured by their passion for French cuisine and warm hospitality, Longwood's journey began with Veronique, a beloved restaurant nestled in Coolidge Corner, Brookline, MA. From its humble beginnings, Longwood's dedication to fine dining and unforgettable experiences blossomed. In 1976, a move to the prestigious Longwood Towers on Chapel Street marked a new chapter. Alongside their restaurant, the Apteker family introduced private events at the Vintage Ballroom, laying the groundwork for Longwood Events.
Fast forward to 1998, and Longwood Events officially emerged, with Lily and Eli's eldest son, Youval, at the helm. With an eye for potential, Longwood transformed spaces like Alden Castle and the Bay Tower Restaurant into iconic event venues, setting the stage for countless celebrations. In 2004, the State Room unveiled its breathtaking view of Boston, captivating guests from near and far. As the years unfolded, Longwood's portfolio expanded, welcoming Belle Mer in 2006 and, later, Newport Beach House in 2016.
