The Aesthetic
Boston has a rich history and culture that oozes that classic New England charm. From the cobblestone streets and brick facades to the waterfront parks and industrial-chic venues, the city offers a little bit of everything aesthetically. Historic buildings like the Old North Church or modern art galleries make for incredible photo backdrops. You can go classic and traditional or sleek and contemporary - Boston's diverse architectural landscape caters to any style.

Where to Stay
You'll definitely want to block off a bunch of hotel rooms for your out-of-town guests. Some of the best hotel options right in the heart of downtown Boston include:
The Fairmont Copley Plaza
This grand and iconic hotel dates back to 1912 and oozes old-world luxury and charm.
The Boxer
A super trendy boutique hotel in the up-and-coming Bulfinch Triangle area with a cool industrial vibe.
The Revere Hotel Boston Common
Contemporary luxury with amazing views overlooking the Boston Common park.
Many hotels offer room blocks and discounted group rates too, so your guests can stay together and get a deal. Just make sure to book far in advance for the best rates!
Getting Here
If you or your guests are traveling to Boston for the big day, it's an easily accessible city for domestic and international travelers:
Logan International Airport is right in Boston with tons of flight options for those traveling by air.
Regional train service via Amtrak runs to multiple stations right in downtown Boston.
It's an easy road trip from many nearby cities and states if guests want to drive in.
Once you're here, ditch the rental cars - Boston's public transit system of trains, buses, and pedestrian walkways make getting around the city a breeze. Your out-of-town guests will be able to affordably Uber or hail a cab too.
Venues for Any Style
As a wedding videographer, I get to work at so many incredible Boston venues. This city truly has something for everyone in terms of places to say "I do." Some of my top picks:
Historical Elegance
The State Room - Modern luxury with a view overlooking the Boston skyline.
Fairmont Battery Wharf - Waterfront venue with iconic harbor backdrops.
The Villa at Ridder Country Club - Mediterranean-inspired villa and grounds.
Industrial Chic
Underrated Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts - Graffiti art and urban vibes.

Coastal New England Charm
Regal Tent at Crane Estate - Tented waterfront reception on a historic estate.
Church Landing at Mill Falls - Rustic yet elegant converted mill building.
Awesome Vendors
What's a wedding without an A-team of vendors to bring your vision to life? As a Boston videographer, I've worked with so many talented florists, planners, caterers, and other pros:
Florists
Pollen Floral Art, The Wild Dahlia
Catering
East Meets West, Max Ultimate Food
The great thing about Boston is it has top-notch vendors across all different styles and budgets. From farm-to-table caterers to über-chic florists, you'll find everything you need right here.
See how else you can keep your wedding luxury!
Weather Considerations
New England weather can be a bit...unpredictable. That's why having an experienced videographer is key - we're prepared to shoot in any condition! Summers are pretty much perfect with low humidity and temperatures in the 70s-80s. Spring can bring unexpected rain showers, while fall tends to be crisp and cool. Winter weddings are magical, but you'll likely need to take some portraits indoors with frigid temps and the occasional snow flurry.
No matter when you tie the knot, I always recommend my couples build a little wiggle room into their timelines in case we hit any weather delays. Having a cool rain plan like tented areas or indoor backdrops gives us options for amazing photos and videos no matter what Mother Nature throws our way.
